Uttarakhand has always been the most exotic state in northern India not because of its weather, but for having a myriad of picturesque and adventurous destinations. Uttarkashi, the town though small in size, have immense religious significance. The city, lying on the route of Gangotri glacier, experiences the source of India two most important rivers; Ganga and Yamuna. The location of Uttarkashi has an immense advantage, which helps in having more adventure camps. Skirted by Himachal Pradesh in north and Tibet on its northeast, and Dehradun and Rudraprayag on its west and south respectively, Uttarkashi offers plenty of adventure camping and adventure sports for the tourists.
